  • Free trial: Yes, you can start and build your AI agent for free using our library of industry templates or build your own. You can design custom call flows, set up voicemail detection, and configure integrations without any upfront cost. When you are ready to launch your Agent, you start to use a Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) model: you only pay for the actual calls and chats conducted.
  • Billing increment: "Phone calls are measured per second, starting when the human and the AI agent connect and ending when the call terminates. Partial seconds are rounded up to the nearest second." Rather than rounding each call, Synthflow aggregates seconds across calls and reports each whole accumulated minute as a billing event, carrying the remainder forward. Calls with a no-answer or hangup_on_voicemail status are recorded as a flat 5 seconds of usage; failed and user-canceled calls are not billed. If a transfer completes, billable AI usage stops at the point of transfer. Chat is converted at "every 5 AI-generated messages count as 1 usage minute".

Worth knowing before you sign

  • · Pricing is not published. The docs state: "Synthflow uses sales-led pricing. Your package is scoped with the Synthflow team based on expected volume, telephony, integrations, and support needs." The only public number is an enterprise floor of $30,000 annually, so a small business cannot price this platform without a sales call.
  • · No per-minute rate, included-minute allowance or overage rate is published anywhere on the site or in the docs.
  • · No default concurrency number is published. The concurrency doc gives enterprise/account-managed limits as "Scoped with Synthflow" and legacy workspaces as "Shown in your workspace or account terms"; it notes only that "Earlier Pro, Growth, and Agency plans were issued with fixed concurrency limits" without stating them.
  • · You build and maintain the agent yourself. Synthflow's BELL framework (Build, Evaluate, Launch, Learn) puts the build on the customer: define behaviour in the Flow Designer or Prompt Builder, "Simulate and evaluate before going live", validate flows end-to-end, then launch and optimise.
  • · Unanswered calls are still billed: a no-answer or hangup_on_voicemail call is "recorded as a flat 5 seconds of usage".
  • · Chat is billed as voice-equivalent minutes at "every 5 AI-generated messages count as 1 usage minute", at the per-minute rate in your agreement.
  • · The docs warn that public documentation is not a quote: "If you already have an active workspace, do not use public documentation as a quote."
  • · Agency/white-label reselling through Stripe is deprecated: "In-product reselling through Stripe will be removed on September 15, 2026", and customer subscriptions relying on it "will stop working unless you migrate them before this date".
  • · Available integrations are gated by contract: "Agency, telephony, and BYOK options appear only when they are included in your setup."
  • · Bring-your-own-model (OpenAI, Azure) is only available "when BYOK is enabled for your workspace".
  • · Bot only — Synthflow supplies no human agents or live-answer fallback; its own copy positions the agents as handling overflow for an existing team.
  • · The homepage FAQ still describes a free build plus a Pay-As-You-Go launch model, which the pricing page and billing docs do not corroborate with any published rate — the two are in tension as of this check.
  • · Founding year is not published on the site, docs or imprint.
