    Worth knowing before you sign

    • · Priced per location. No included call volume or minute allowance is published on any tier, so a buyer cannot compare cost per call or per minute from the pricing page.
    • · No overage rate is published. The Terms of Service instead state that if a customer exceeds the usage limits on their Order Form 'on an average calendar month basis determined once per calendar quarter', subsequent fees are invoiced at the next applicable Price Tier.
    • · No free trial is advertised. The Terms of Service reference an optional 'Evaluation Service' and 'Pilot Period' that would be defined in an Order Form, not a self-serve trial.
    • · Contract terms conflict between pages: the product page says 'No hidden fees. Cancel anytime,' while the help center article on cancellation says 'Slang subscriptions are billed for the full initial contract term' and require 30 days written notice, with service continuing 30 days past the next billing date for monthly agreements or 'through the full term for annual agreements'.
    • · Help center adds that 'billing begins upon signing your contract, not when you start using the service.'
    • · No self-serve checkout: every plan CTA is 'Request a Demo', and adding a new location requires an account manager, a new agreement, and an onboarding call.
    • · Spanish is the only non-English language documented. Bilingual Support is a Premium feature and an a-la-carte add-on for lower tiers.
    • · Slang provides a new local or toll-free number and you forward to it; the FAQ says keeping your existing number is 'possible' but tells you to 'discuss your options with our onboarding team' rather than documenting porting.
    • · Direct Text (two-way AI texting) works only on the Slang-provided number; texts sent to a forwarded public-facing number get no response.
    • · No outbound calling capability is described on the pricing, product, or help center pages.
    • · No spam-call filtering feature is described. 'Concierge Bypass' routes specific saved numbers straight to staff, it does not block unwanted callers.
    • · A 'Basic' tier is referenced in the help center's Bilingual Support article ('available ... to Basic and Core tier customers as an add-on') but is not shown on the public pricing page.
